(1)舉起、提升,與raise意義相同

提升或被提升到更高的位置或水平

◆ I lifted the lid of the box and peered in.
◆ (figurative) John lifted his eyes (= looked up) from his book.
◆ [V] Her eyebrows lifted. 'Apologize? Why?'
(2)抓住某人或某物并移動到不同的位置
move sb / sth
[VN] [usually +adv./prep.]
◆ I lifted the baby out of the chair.
◆ He lifted the suitcase down from the rack.
(3)[VN] 用飛機運輸人或物
The survivors were lifted to safety by helicopter.
